I'm not sure if I have any particular memories related to ice creams except for me and my dad going down to the mall for one every day when I was young. Ice cream was just the thing any child would want, it's cold and it's so delicious. Simply bliss during the summer to lick one on your way home or when you're waiting for the bus in the oven-like atmosphere...
There have been lot's of rumors about how Frozen Yogurt (or Froyo) is in fact more fattening than ice cream. Since a Froyo shop opened near my school last year, everyone's been going there since it's advertising itself as "fat-free". As people like to stay slim nowadays, the McDonald's next door's ice cream became so unpopular the store started giving silly discounts like "BUY ONE GET ONE FREE" for ice creams under $2 HKD, which is basically...none of the ice creams they're selling. Pointless.
I personally prefer Froyo more, not because of the supposedly fat-free content but the taste. It just tastes better to me, I like how you can choose your toppings and mix and match, and I simply love how it tastes sour and sweet just the way I like it. The sour taste just kinda helps ease the thirst during summer, and the coldness of the whole things just takes away the heat.
Froyo or Ice cream?
